WJM Launches Version 2.0 of its Award-Winning Executive Coaching App

WJM Associates, a leading executive development company based in New York, has released version 2.0 of its WJM Development Tracker™ smartphone app for executive coaching engagements. The award-winning app is now even better with improved graphics and smarter features, making it easier to use than ever.

And it's free!

This simple app does two things:

1. The WJM Development Tracker™ 2.0 helps the coaching client focus on specific development goals by regularly pinging the user’s phone with customizable reminders to ‘deliberately practice’ certain behaviors, helping them become new habits.
2. With a touch of a button, the Tracker allows the exec to collect feedback from managers and colleagues, and charts the leader’s progress against his or her coaching goals. (Raters don’t have to have the app and the process takes seconds.)

The app extends the benefits of executive coaching outside regular coaching sessions and allows coaching clients to continue cultivating their skills after the engagement ends. The app also allows organizations to quantify the effectiveness of coaching over time by aggregating and measuring the progress of all executives being coached. This enables companies to measure the impact of coaching – a process that is currently largely subjective.

The app was inspired by K. Anders Ericsson’s Deliberate Practice model, which supports the theory that individuals become experts through repeated attention to and practice of new behaviors. WJM Associates applied this concept to coaching and developed the WJM Development Tracker™ whereby practice is meant to be repetitive, guided by a coach, intended to improve specific skills, and accompanied with frequent feedback.
